Extended family hours for family fun are set for this Labor Day weekend at Silver Dollar City, with the park’s 40 award-winning rides and attractions running from 9:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on August 31 and September 1. Launch and spin through the Ozark Mountains on Time Traveler, the world’s fastest, steepest and tallest spinning coaster, drop into the night on the Guinness World Record-holding wood coaster Outlaw Run or hop on the ten family adventures at both Fireman’s Landing and The Grand Exposition at the internationally-awarded 1880s-style theme park.

With extended hours until 10 p.m. during the holiday weekend, this Labor Day Weekend is the last opportunity for families to grab night rides for the summer.
Plus, this is the final weekend in 2019 for lunch and dinner at the House of Chicken & Fixin’s, featuringfirecracker chicken, the park’s famous southern-style fried chicken and an all-new Bavarian icebox cake.

The entertainment doesn’t stop after Labor Day Weekend, as Silver Dollar City debuts the brand-new Country Music Days event with three Saturday Country Celebrity Concerts. From classic to current, this event will debut some of the biggest names in country music during its 13-day run, Wednesdays through Sundays, September 6-22. Steve Wariner brings his fourteen No. 1 hits to Echo Hollow on September 7, Shenandoah closes the park on September 14 with their five No. 1 hits and Sawyer Brown will give a taste of their 21 studio albums with a concert on September 21. Each outdoor stage at the park will host a variety of groups with Nashville ties while Echo Hollow Amphitheatre will feature a special country mashup in its show, Hits from the Hollow.

A new behind-the-scenes-style show, Billy Yates’ Hit Songwriters in The Round, brings Grammy-nominated artist Billy Yates together with a rotating cast of fellow songwriters to the park’s Gazebo stage, with each show full of storytelling and the history behind country music’s biggest hits. Rising country stars appear each day, with exclusive performances from the young Nashville-based trio Renata along with country-duo Makenna & Brock, X-Factor top 12-group finalists.

The park continues daily operation until Labor Day, September 2, then a Wednesday to Sunday schedule beginning September 6. Then, beginning September 25, the park’s new $2 million addition, Pumpkin Nights, lights up the fall sky through October 26.
