HENRY COUNTY HALLOWEEN ELECTRONICS RECYCLING EVENT SET FOR OCTOBER 31

Henry County Health Center and Tech Remove, LLC are partnering to host a Halloween Community Electronics Recycling Event on Saturday, October 31, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., in the parking lot adjacent to the Henry County Health Center in Clinton, Missouri.

The collection is open to everyone, with Henry County residents especially encouraged to participate. The event will provide households and businesses with a convenient opportunity to responsibly recycle unwanted electronics while helping recover reusable equipment and valuable materials.

With the event falling on Halloween, families are welcome to join in the fun by wearing costumes and giving their old technology another life. The morning collection offers a family-friendly opportunity to participate in community environmental stewardship before Clinton’s evening Halloween activities.

HAVE AN OLD DESKTOP, LAPTOP, TABLET OR SMARTPHONE? BRING IT!

Tech Remove especially encourages participants to search their homes, offices, closets, drawers, basements and garages for unused:

  • Desktop computers
  • Laptop computers
  • Tablets
  • Smartphones and other cell phones

These devices are often stored for years after their useful life has ended. Many contain reusable components and recoverable materials that can be returned to productive use rather than entering the waste stream.

FROM CLINTON’S HISTORIC PAST TO A MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE

Clinton has a long tradition of preserving its history while embracing the future.

Founded in 1836, the community is home to a historic downtown centered around the 1893 Henry County Courthouse. The Henry County Museum preserves generations of local history through historic buildings, household artifacts, machinery and objects that reflect how residents lived, worked and adapted to changing technology.

From early telephones and radios to the computers and smartphones of today, technology has continually shaped how communities communicate, work and live.

This Halloween, Tech Remove and Henry County Health Center are inviting the community to consider what happens when those once-modern devices are no longer needed.

Some things from yesterday deserve to be preserved. Others deserve a responsible new beginning.

“Clinton has a remarkable tradition of preserving the buildings, objects and stories that connect one generation to the next,” said Howard Salter, Vice President of Operations for Tech Remove. “That same appreciation for the value of things is what makes electronics recycling so important. An old computer or smartphone may no longer serve its original purpose, but the materials inside can still have tremendous value. This Halloween, we’re inviting families to bring those old devices out of the closet, enjoy a little Halloween fun and give yesterday’s technology another life.”

Tech Remove works with downstream recycling and processing partners to recover reusable equipment and recyclable commodities from collected electronics, helping return those resources to manufacturing and other productive uses.
