The 31st annual Lake of the Ozarks Shootout is a phenomenal event as high-performance boaters from around the country race on Missouri’s Lake of the Ozarks this weekend. “A huge shout out and special thank you to all the boaters that are coming in for the Lake of the Ozarks Shootout from all over the country. We appreciate all of you coming to the Lake of the Ozarks.” said, Cheri Cranford, Publisher Missouri Magazine.
The Shootout will take place at Captain Ron’s Bar & Grill in Sunrise Beach (Lake Road 5-50, mile marker 34.5). Thousands of spectator boats will line the 3/4-mile course to watch the racers compete for the Top Gun titles in their respective classes. The event raises funds for eight Lake-area rescue teams and numerous other charitable organizations; last year, $300,000 to 32 different Charities and 8 Fire Departments.
