Mendy was born and raised in Stover Missouri. After high school, she headed for the next chapter of her life, college. Mendy’s journey led her to Central Methodist University, where she played volleyball for the college and completed a degree in Early Childhood Education.  Mendy returned to Stover and taught kindergarten at MCR-1 for 13 years,  then changed her career path, after receiving her Masters in Elementary Administration, to SFCC, where she is currently the Early Childhood Program Coordinator. Mendy has been at SFCC for the past 9 years. She is married to the love of her life and best friend, Jeff Holem.  Mendy is proudly the mother of three amazing kids (Gage, Koye, and Shae) and one awesome step-son (Weston Holem).

Favorite thing about Missouri: I love the small town feel and hospitality you feel, in so many places you visit in Missouri. Missouri has so many beautiful nature made sites to see, that look so pretty/different through all four seasons.

What’s your favorite part about working for Missouri Magazine? I love meeting new people, learning about new small businesses, and helping to share some of my favorite places in Missouri with others.
