Boulevard Lifts Off with Three New Releases This Month: Boulevard Light and Two New Space Camper IPAs

The Midwest’s largest specialty brewer aims for the stars with popular spring releases

On the heels of its exciting February releases of Quirk Hard Tea and Wood Baron Barrel-Fresh Ale, Boulevard Brewing Co. has ramped up the spring momentum with the brand-new releases of Boulevard Light and two new offerings in the Space Camper IPA Saga, Chillbreak Endless IPA and Space Camper Non-Alcoholic IPA.

Boulevard Light

Boulevard Light marks Boulevard’s first-ever entry into light beer. At 89 calories per 12-ounce can and 4% ABV, this beer is a clean-drinking light lager ideal for any occasion. Using Boulevard’s 35-year-old principle of blending traditional brewing with modern innovation, Boulevard Light uses 100% Pilsner malt and no adjuncts.

“We’re thrilled to brew light beer, the local way, for our fans and friends. Boulevard Light is, put simply, really good,” said Ali Bush, Boulevard’s VP of Marketing. “We’re excited to offer a light, refreshing beer that also represents the craft quality fans expect from Boulevard. It doesn’t compromise on flavor and is a perfect pairing for every Midwest moment. It’s a beer we’ve been eagerly waiting for, and we hope our fans enjoy it as much as we do.”

Boulevard Light will be available year-round in 12-pack cans, 6-pack bottles and on draft throughout the Midwest. Learn more on where to find it.

Space Camper Chillbreak Endless IPA and Space Camper Non-Alcoholic IPA

Two new additions to the popular Space Camper IPA Saga are ready for launch this month: Chillbreak Endless IPA and Boulevard’s latest non-alcoholic innovation, Space Camper Non-Alcoholic IPA. Chillbreak, which the Boulevard team describes as “endlessly easy-drinking,” is a crisp, crushable, light-bodied IPA with floral and fruity hops, along with a subatomic 5% ABV. Meanwhile, the “grounding” Space Camper Non-Alcoholic IPA boasts tropical fruit and citrusy hops, expanding the heroic hop flavors of Space Camper to all occasions and lifestyles. Both will be available in 6-pack cans year-round throughout the Midwest.

“We’re excited to continue the Space Camper IPA Saga with Chillbreak and Space Camper Non-Alcoholic IPA, which both expand the fan-favorite flavors of Space Camper into new areas of our hoppy cosmic universe,” Bush said. “These new Space Campers offer unique flavor profiles and cater to different drinking preferences, both in flavor profile and ABV. Chillbreak especially has quickly become a team favorite, and we can’t wait for everyone to try it. ”

Space Camp at Boulevard: March 13 – 23

The two Space Camper releases coincide with the Boulevard Tours & Rec Center’s Space Camp activation, a celebration of Space Camper in the brewery Beer Hall and Gift Shop March 13 – 23. Space Camp will feature a special beer flight of intergalactic IPAs, gift shop specials, and the draft-only release of Fundamental Evil Triple IPA, brewed in partnership with Planet Comicon Kansas City. Guests can take home 32-oz crowlers of this exclusive release, with $5 from each crowler sold benefiting Hero Initiative, a nonprofit dedicated to helping comic creators in need.

The highlight of Space Camp will be an official pre-party with Planet Comicon Kansas City in the Beer Hall on Thursday, March 20 from 4 – 8 p.m. This happy hour the evening before the convention begins will give fans a chance to sip Cosmic IPAs with cosplayers, creators and comic culture enthusiasts, play Doctor Who Trivia, and pore over a local comic book pop-up shop.  As a proud partner of Planet Comicon Kansas City, Boulevard will be sampling new beers and beverages throughout the convention, which runs from March 21 to March 23. Boulevard will also host an after-party at the convention center, open to all attendees with a Planet Comicon Kansas City ticket, on Saturday, March 22. This intergalactic rave will feature a DJ and dance party, and samples of Chillbreak Endless IPA, Espresso Martini Stout and Fundamental Evil Triple IPA.
