Top-tier Modifieds take center stage at Lucas Oil Speedway this weekend at the 17th annual Slick Mist Show-Me USMTS Shootout Presented by Foley Equipment.
The two-night program, Friday and Saturday Aug. 7-8, will find Hermitage Lumber Late Models, Clear Creek Golf Cars USRA B-Mods and O’Reilly USRA Stock Cars joining the Modifieds both nights.
Feature winners for the USMTS will earn $5,000 both Friday and Saturday nights.
Brandon Davis of Hayfield, Minn., holds a narrow 13-point lead in the USMTS championship chase over Jim Chisholm of Osage, Iowa. Tanner Mullens of Wichita, Kan., sits third 56 points behind Davis.
Tanner Mullens and Kyle Strickler won the respective features for the USMTS portion of the Show-Me Shootout last season. Mullens also won the final night of the 15th King of America early this season at Lucas Oil Speedway.
Country singer Travis Marvin will be singing the national anthem and performing in the Diamond Bar after the races on Friday.
