CHRIS JANSON AND READ SOUTHALL BAND TO HEADLINE NORTHERN MISSOURI MUSIC AND CAMPING FESTIVAL
Trenton, Mo. – February 23, 2023 – Northern Missouri’s premier music and camping festival, the Mid-America Music Festival, presented by CFM Insurance will celebrate its sixth year Aug. 4 – 6, 2023 on the 70-acre grounds of the Black Silo Winery in Trenton, Mo., approximately 90 miles north of Kansas City.
Hailing from Stillwater, Oklahoma, Read Southall Band will headline Friday, Aug. 4. Friday’s lineup also includes Cody Canada and The Departed, Micky and The Motorcars, Alex Williams and local bluegrass band Slow Leak.
Headlining Saturday, Aug. 5 is multi-platinum songwriter and country music artist, Chris Janson. Saturday’s lineup also includes The Cadillac Three, Drake White, Dirt Road Addiction and Trenton’s local band, Jayson Orr & Shop Band. Gates open Friday and Saturday at 2:00 p.m. with bands starting at 2:45 p.m.
Mid-America Music Festival attendees will experience live music, primitive style camping, activities, shopping vendors, food trucks, plenty of beverage stations, fireworks and more. Tickets are $60 for a single-day general admission pass and $90 for a two-day general admission pass. Ticket prices increase June 1. According to the festival team, over 3,000 fans attended the event last year from more than 30 states. “The Mid-America Music Festival brings together music fans from all over the United States,” said Jenn Hottes, Executive Director of Black Silo Foundation. “Friends and family gather for a fun weekend to enjoy incredible music and unforgettable experiences. It’s truly a can’t miss summer tradition. Bring a friend, pack a lawn chair or blanket or plan to camp for the weekend and enjoy all the festivities.”
The Mid-America Music Festival is a charity event for the Black Silo Foundation, a nonprofit organization with a mission to help boost the economic development of small rural communities in Northern Missouri and focuses its support to charities that serve children, youth and families, healthcare, education, veteran affairs or animals in Grundy, Livingston, Linn, Sullivan, Putnam, Mercer, Harrison, Daviess, or Caldwell Counties. This year the festival is supporting Boys Scout Troop 97 Trenton, Boys Scout Troop 120 Chillicothe, Camp Rainbow, and Green Hills Animal Shelter.
