Silver Dollar City Presents The White Glove!
~ The Rehearsal Eve of An Old Time Christmas ~
Exclusive Event Friday, November 2, Benefits Care For Kids
|Guests at Silver Dollar City’s special benefit event, The White Glove, will be the first to see the special features of the park’s An Old Time Christmas festival—and help area kids at the same time. The White Glove takes place at the park on Friday, November 2, beginning at 5:00 p.m., with proceeds benefiting area kids in need.
The event includes a viewing of the FINAL YEAR of It’s a Wonderful Life, one of the festival’s Broadway-style productions, a holiday feast with prime rib, glazed ham and all the trimmings, the final dress rehearsal of A Dickens’ Christmas Carol, a preview of Rudolph’s Holly Jolly™ Christmas Light Parade, the 5-Story Christmas Tree, and the park’s newest light display, Christmas In Midtown, which added 1.5 million lights in 2017 to the park’s new total of over 6.5 million lights.
The walk-through review, known at the park for decades as the “White Glove,” is a dress rehearsal for shows, lights, food and décor on the evening before the park opens the festival to the public. This limited offering is a special benefit for Care For Kids, a project of the Silver Dollar City Foundation to assist area kids in need, with over 40,000 kids served and $1.7 million donated since the program launched in 2006.
The White Glove event is limited to 400 tickets, with a special price of $60 per person. Tickets are available by calling 800-831-4FUN(386). Silver Dollar City’s acclaimed festival An Old Time Christmas runs November 3 – December 30.
