Publisher’s Note: Football Season is Upon Us….

As summer is coming to an end and football season is upon us. What better way to kick off the season than to feature The Kansas City Chiefs. Football season is one of my favorite times of the year. If you’re like our family you are counting down the days to the start of 2017 season.
Thank you for picking up the August issue featuring football, fashion, tailgate recipes, Missouri Farm Wives, Missouri’s Best and so much more.
As we kick off football season we’re also kicking off “Missouri’s Best 2017”. Nominate your favorite people, places and businesses in more than 100 categories. Nominations will be open from August 1st through August 31st. Voting will begin September 1st. The voting period is September 1st through September 30th. Right now, it’s any businesses’ game!

We are excited to welcome Aaron J. Bass our intern Sports Writer. He is currently a student at The University of North Georgia where he is studying Sport’s Journalism. Aaron is also a coach for the Forsyth Central High School Ultimate Frisbee team where he teaches young men and women how to play the ever-growing sport of Ultimate. We enjoy his insight and talent in writing about sports. We’re happy to have him part of the Missouri Magazine Family. We hope you enjoy reading his featured article on the Kansas City Chiefs.

I also welcome Staff Writer, Kelsie Ferguson. As a Public Relations major at Northwest Missouri State University, she fell in love with all aspects of marketing and hasn’t stopped. Kelsie’s love for marketing has led her to photography, social media, newspaper, blogging, real estate and Missouri Magazine! I love her writing talent and happy to have her part of the Missouri Magazine Family. We hope you enjoy reading her articles throughout our magazine. Especially Missouri Farm Wives!

We appreciate all our advertisers, readers and staff that make Missouri Magazine possible. Please feel free to email me with your thoughts and ideas. I look forward to hearing from you and seeing you, at the Lake of the Ozarks or around Missouri.

GO MIZZOU and GO CHIEFS!
