IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR THE AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME AT ARROWHEAD STADIUM

CHIEFS VS. PATRIOTS, PRESENTED BY HY-VEE, KICKS OFF AT 5:40 P.M.

 The Kansas City Chiefs will host the New England Patriots for the AFC Championship Game at 5:40 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 20. Fans can find important information and reminders about Sunday’s game below.

Weather Related Information

Sunday’s forecast calls for cold temperatures throughout the day. Fans are encouraged to plan accordingly by wearing warm protective clothing and layers. Fans can bring warm blankets in through the stadium gates by carrying them over their shoulder.

Warming stations will be located throughout Arrowhead Stadium for fans. Please visit a Fans First booth for locations.

Chiefs Jersey Rally Towel Giveaway

To celebrate the first AFC Championship Game ever hosted at Arrowhead Stadium, Hy-Vee, the presenting partner of the Chiefs playoffs, and Coca-Cola will be giving away a commemorative Chiefs jersey rally towel to the first 50,000 fans as they enter the Arrowhead Stadium gates.

Parking Gates

Make your game plan by visiting www.chiefs.com/parking. Parking lot gates for Sunday’s game open at 12:30 p.m. Fans are encouraged to purchase their parking passes in advance to save money and help expedite the parking process for all gameday visitors. All single-event parking passes are mobile entry and should be added to fans’ mobile wallet and ready to scan at the parking tollgates.

Parking passes can be purchased in advance for $50 online at www.chiefs.com/parking. Cash parking at the tollgate on gameday will be $60.

Stadium Gates

All Arrowhead Stadium gates will open at 3:30 p.m. for the 5:40 p.m. kickoff. Gates for guests with tickets on the Scout Investments Club Level will open at 3 p.m. Fans with mobile tickets should have their tickets added to their mobile wallet and ready to scan when they reach the stadium gates to expedite entry.

Hunt Family Foundation 50/50 Raffle

The beneficiary of this week’s Hunt Family Foundation 50/50 Raffle is Play 60 Youth Programming. In 2007, the NFL launched Play 60, a national youth health and fitness campaign focused on making the next generation of youth the most active and heathy. Since the launch, the NFL and its clubs have supported programs in over 73,000 schools nationwide, giving more than 38 million children the chance to boost physical activity levels and build a foundation for a healthy lifestyle. Prices are set at three tickets for $5, 10 tickets for $10 and a playoff special 100 tickets for $20. Ford Tailgate District

The free Ford Tailgate District is open to all fans for game days this season. This party area, located in Lot M near the Founder’s Plaza on the north side of the stadium, features free entry to all ages, drink specials, food trucks and live entertainment throughout pregame. The Ford Tailgate District will open at 1 p.m. and will remain open until kickoff.          

National Anthem

Melissa Etheridge will perform Sunday’s national anthem. Etheridge is a two-time Grammy and Academy Award-winning singer-songwriter. The flag colors will be presented by a joint Missouri and Kansas National Guard Color Guard. A United States Shaped American flag will be held by 100 season ticket members.

Tune In

Fans unable to attend Sunday’s game at Arrowhead Stadium can tune in to the game on KCTV5 (CBS) locally where Jim Nantz, Tony Romo, Tracy Wolfson, Evan Washburn and Jay Feely will be on the broadcast.

The game will also air on KCFX 101 the Fox, home of the Chiefs Radio Network, where “Voice of the Chiefs” Mitch Holthus, former Chiefs longsnapper Kendall Gammon and sideline reporter Dani Welniak will have the call. Tico Sports will also broadcast Sunday’s game in Spanish on KCTO 1160 AM/100.5 FM with Enrique Morales, Oscar Monterroso and Leo Prieto calling the action. Chiefs fans can tune in to the club’s official pregame show, Hy-Vee Chiefs Insider, on KCTV5 (CBS) at 9:30 a.m. on Sunday, leading into kickoff. The club’s official postgame show, Chiefs Rewind presented by CommunityAmerica Credit Union, airs immediately following Sunday’s 10:30 p.m. news on KCTV, www.chiefs.com and the Chiefs mobile app.

Fans at Arrowhead Stadium and at home can check in with team reporter BJ Kissel for last minute updates prior to the game with Field Pass presented by Microsoft Surface. The 15-minute Facebook Live special broadcast begins approximately one hour prior to kickoff of every home and away game.
